Chocolate Workshop

Kids Corner

Learn how to make lovely tasting chocolates under the supervision of our Chocolate Tutor. Price: £25.00 per person
Duration: 1 1/2 hours
Minimum age: 6-16 years old. If younger children cannot work on their own, they will be required to be accompanied by a responsible adult

The course offers superb training and a fascinating insight into the world of chocolate. The course is ideal for birthday parties. You will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in making exquisite chocolates (which you can take away with you at the end of your experience). Then, all you have to do is wow your friends with your new found skills!

The Experience
On arrival at the Chocolate Factory you will be greeted by the chocolatier who will welcome you to the workshop with an introductory briefing. Then it's down to business as you learn how to create masterpieces out of chocolate. You will be taught how to make and decorate your own chocolates and then how to pack them to make the perfect present. You will also be taught what makes a good chocolate, and be given the chance to sample lots of different choccies.

Introduction to The Delights of Chocolate

This chocolate workshop is a wonderful and unique present for chocolate enthusiasts.

Minimum age: 16 years old, (younger people may attend but they must completed the Kids Course)


Here is the chance to create the finest Belgian chocolates under the guidance of a master chocolatier. Learn about the history of chocolate before the chocolatier takes you on a journey to create a filling for your truffles before dipping them into Belgian chocolate and then decorating your masterpieces. Great fun for groups, couples and individuals.

The Experience
The three hour workshop begins with information on the history of chocolate and then the pleasurable task of sampling a wide variety of chocolate from different sources. You will learn the art of chocolate tasting and be taught what makes one chocolate better than another. You will then create truffle fillings, dip your truffles in Belgian chocolate and design and decorate your toppings. All attendees then take home their creations of 20-30 Belgian chocolates all wrapped, designed and made by you.

You will be provided with
An apron (it is recommended you wear comfortable clothes that are suitable for cooking)
A recipe pamphlet
25 home made chocolates (made by participant) in ribbon tied pouches that can be given as little gifts to friends
Only the finest Belgian chocolate (Barry Callebaut) is used as raw ingredient
Tea, coffee and juice.

Intermediate Chocolate Making Course

If you love eating chocolate, then chances are you will love making it too. That’s why you just have to get yourself down to one of these self-indulgent chocolate making sessions.

You will get a brief introduction to the history of chocolate (surprisingly fascinating) and then you will get down to the good stuff – sampling such delights as chilli and orange dark chocolate (just delicious) and caramel sea salt truffles.

The Experience
After the brief intro you will learn how to make chocolate fudge, Dutch truffles, pralines and nut brittle. Before you can dip your chocolate fillings, the chocolatier will teach everyone how to temper the bowls of melted chocolate. Once the fillings are ready you will then turn your hand at piping, dipping and decorating before taking home your delicious creations in a beautiful ribbon tied boxes.

You will be provided with
An apron (it is recommended you wear comfortable clothes that are suitable for cooking)
A recipe pamphlet
25 home made chocolates (made by participant) in ribbon tied pouches that can be given as little gifts to friends
Only the finest Belgian chocolate (Barry Callebaut) is used as raw ingredient

The Art of The Chocolatier

Learn the art of the chocolatier and create your own delicacies on this fantastic course. Price: £75.00
Duration: 3 hours
 


The course offers superb training and a fascinating insight into the world of chocolate. You will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in making exquisite chocolates (which you can take away with you at the end of your experience). Then, all you have to do is wow your friends with your new found skills.

Experience
On arrival at the venue you will be greeted by the chocolatier who will welcome you to the workshop with an introductory briefing. Then it's down to business as you learn how to create masterpieces out of chocolate. You will have plenty of opportunity to gain hands on experience during the course. It will be assumed that you have an understanding of chocolate making and that you are able to handle and temper chocolate. You will be taught to make hollow creations such as Easter Eggs and Christmas novelties, be taught how to make multicoloured chocolates and taught the art of making truffles, including using transfers and decorative powders and finally you will be taught how to make basic cake decorations. The course is fairly advanced and it is aimed at the more experienced "home cooks", and is designed to follow on from our "Intermediate Chocolate Making Course". Your experience will last between two and a half to three hours in total and you will be able to take your tasty creations away with you.
